Thank you for your support of Christmas Memories. Although this event was enjoyed by the community for many years, declining revenues combined with the current economic environment has led to the retirement of Christmas Memories in 2009.
"We hope the community will support our new events like Dinner on the Town and Oktoberfest," said John Buckley, Director of Institutional Advancement. "We're also looking at other fundraising opportunities for the future."
Buckley said that Christmas Memories enjoyed a strong volunteer base that worked diligently to make the event successful.
"We value and appreciate our volunteers and the time and effort they dedicated over the years to benefit Naper Settlement and the Naperville Heritage Society," Buckley said.
Naper Settlement continues to host thriving events, such as Civil War Days, Naperville Summer Nights, All Hallows Eve, the History Speaks Lecture Series and holiday-themed programming for visitors to enjoy including the Legend of St. Nicholas, which is part of the History Speaks Lecture Series and will be held Dec. 6, and Victorian Holiday Traditions that will held Dec. 5 and 13.
