$1.75 DAY AT NAPER SETTLEMENT

Come visit with our costumed villagers on this special start to 2006 as we celebrate Naperville's history in honor of its 175th anniversary. Tour buildings from log house beginnings to Victorian splendor. 1-5 p.m. Special admission $1.75/person, children 3 and under are free. Naperville Heritage Society members and Season Pass Holders receive free admission. This project is partially supported by a grant from the City of Naperville.

This show will feature over 100 quilts, both new and from Naperville's past, as Naperville celebrates its 175th anniversary. See demonstrations along with the Miniatures of the Heart competition winners. Appraisals are also available for an additional fee. Saturday 10 a.m.-4 p.m., Sunday 1‑4 p.m. $7 adults, $6 seniors, $4.50 youth. Naperville Heritage Society members and Season Pass Holders receive free admission.

MAPLE SUGARING DAYS

Experience how people in the 19th century tapped trees for sap to make maple syrup and maple sugar. Saturday 10 a.m.-4 p.m., Sunday 1-4 p.m. $7 adults, $6 seniors, $4.50 youth (4-17). Learn how kids in the 19th century did their chores. Take part in a "clean sweep" contest (held at 2:30 p.m.) with our Juniors. All day. Included with admission.

The spring show features creative seasonal arrangements and dried bouquets. 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Admission to the sale is free.

Cinco de Naperville features south of the border beverages, music, food and fun. Music is provided by the Coco Loco Band and the Mr. Meyers Band. 4-10 p.m. both days. $10 adults, $5 under 21 and free for children 10 and under. ENCOUNTER THE PAST - A VISIT TO THE NAPERVILLE CEMETERY

Take a walk through the history of Naperville by visiting the cemetery. Encounter some Napervillians from the past 175 years as they recount their stories. Once visited by casual picnickers, the cemeteries of today are often overlooked, as a place of history and heritage, don't let this opportunity pass you by! 3:30-5 p.m. All ages. $12/person, $10/NHSS member.
