The Volunteer Information Meeting, scheduled for February 5 has been canceled due to a winter storm warning.
The next Volunteer Information Meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, February 13. If you had planned to attend the February 5 meeting and are unable to attend on February 13, please call the Museum Educators at the number below as soon as possible.
Junior Parent Meeting
This meeting is mandatory for parent/s of new Junior Interpreters. Please
plan on attending one of the following session offerings:
Sunday, February 10 from 12:30-2:30 p.m. or 3:30-5:50 p.m.
Held in the Century Memorial Chapel at Naper Settlement
Junior Customer Service Training
For parents who have attended the Junior Parent Meeting in February. This is a
mandatory meeting for new Juniors Interpreters and their parent/s. Please
plan on attending one of the following session offerings:
Saturday, February 23 from 10 a.m.-noon or 1-3 p.m
Sunday, February 24 from 1-3 p.m.
Building Training for Teen and Adult Volunteers
Volunteers will receive their building assignments, interpretive materials, clothing information and orientation and training. Due to scheduling constraints, there will be no make up sessions. Held in the Century Memorial Chapel
Sunday, March 2 from 1-6 p.m.
Junior Interpretive
Training
For parents who have attended the Junior Parent Meeting in February. This is a
mandatory meeting for new Juniors Interpreters and new Juniors in Time.
Please plan on attending one of the following session offerings:
Saturday, March 15 from 9 a.m.-noon or 1-4 p.m.
Sunday, March 16 from 1-4 p.m.
Focused Building Training for Teen and Adult Volunteers
Volunteers receive additional intensive training in the buildings. Your shift will begin and end in the Meeting House.
Sunday, March 16 from 1-4 p.m.
Final Building Training
Volunteers receive final concentrated training and gain weekend tour
experience. Your shift will begin in the Meeting House. - Volunteer Social - A social hour will take place in the Pre-Emption House Tavern immediately following your shift. 4-5 p.m.
Junior Volunteering begins
April 1, 2008-October 31, 2008
One shift per month is required in April, May, September and
October
Two shifts per month are required in June, July and August
