2008 Calendar showcases the Weed Ladies works of art!

Ladies or the Naper Settlement Museum ![]()
Store for $10 or $8/Naperville Heritage Society Member.

The Weed Ladies, those "Designing Women of the Naperville Heritage Society," are
a group of
devoted volunteers who
create and sell a combination of silk and dried flower
arrangements. They were organized in 1969 at which time they only did dried arrangements (hence the name "Weed Ladies.")
They meet twice a week from spring through fall planting, picking, drying and arranging flowers (and weeds). The arrangements are created in unique containers such as antique bowls, baskets, teacups and even antique sewing machine drawers.
They sell their arrangements at an annual show in October,
held at the Settlement's Daniels House. They transform the house into a wonderland of arrangements, wreaths, and swags for autumn, Christmas and any other time of the year. Lovely dried floral and weed bouquets are featured with ornaments and home decor items also being sold.
Proceeds from the show support education and preservation programs at Naper Settlement.
Special custom orders can be done at any time.
If you are interested in volunteering or would like more information about their show, please call the Weed Room at 630.305.5289.
