Oral History Programs

Do you have a story to tell about your life in Naperville? Those participating in the Oral History Program will be part of either an audio or audio/visual recording with an interviewer who will ask them questions about their lives. The close to 90 narratives, both on audio tape and videotape, provide a glimpse into the life and times of Naperville residents that might not otherwise be recorded.

Some of the topics covered in the oral histories include growing up in Naperville, school experiences, changes in the town, family life, World War II and military experiences, the Great Depression in Naperville, working at Kroehler Manufacturing Co. and other businesses.

If you are interested in sharing your story, call the Naperville Heritage Society at 630.420.6010.
