$1.75 DAY AT NAPER SETTLEMENT

Come visit with our costumed villagers on this special start to 2006 as we celebrate Naperville's history in honor of its 175th anniversary. Tour buildings from log house beginnings to Victorian splendor. 1-5 p.m. Special admission $1.75/person, children 3 and under are free. Naperville Heritage Society members and Season Pass Holders receive free admission. This project is partially supported by a grant from the City of Naperville.

MAPLE SUGARING DAYS

Experience how people in the 19th century tapped trees for sap to make maple syrup and maple sugar. Saturday 10 a.m.-4 p.m., Sunday 1-4 p.m. $7 adults, $6 seniors, $4.50 youth (4-17). Cinco de Naperville features south of the border beverages, music, food and fun. Take a walk through the history of Naperville by visiting the cemetery. Encounter some Napervillians from the past 175 years as they recount their stories. Once visited by casual picnickers, the cemeteries of today are often overlooked, as a place of history and heritage, don't let this opportunity pass you by! 3:30-5 p.m. All ages. $12/person, $10/NHSS member.  Volunteers needed!

ALL HALLOWS EVE - A 19th Century Halloween

Rated PG-Creepy! Spine-tingling fun themed around some of the scariest literature from the 19th century! Haunting tales, headless horseman, fortune-telling night creatures and more. 6:30-10 p.m. $8/person Recommended for children, youth, adults and all folks who like a scare! Volunteers needed!
