In honor of Naperville's 175th anniversary, Naper Settlement and the
Naperville Heritage Society will produce three special exhibits in 2006.
February 10 through June 18, 2006
Something to Celebrate!
This exhibit will focus on the objects people associate with a celebration,
featuring photos, artifacts and objects uniquely Naperville. The Naperville
Heritage Society is asking Naperville residents how they celebrate special
occasions and is seeking stories, photos, items or memorabilia that reminds
them of those celebrations. Perhaps it's a beloved childhood toy, maybe it
was the dress worn for a first high school dance or even a favorite sled
received during the holidays.
June 16 through July 17, 2006
Discarded History
Privy digger Tom Majewski will be the guest curator for an exhibit of
artifacts unearthed from the backyards of Naperville's earliest citizens.
Items from Joseph Naper's cabin site will be on display for the first time.
July 14 through December 31, 2006
History Shapes Art: Naperville Through the Youthful Eye
