Naper Nights 2018 Summer Concert Series


Rock out to great music at Naper Settlement’s Naper Nights Community Concert Series and dance the night away on our beautiful 13-acre grounds. Bring your lawn chair or blanket, your family and friends for a summertime tradition that features cold drinks and great food and fabulous music!

Friday, June 15

School of Rock 5-5:40 PM 
Local music school, School of Rock, will be showcasing their top students during this rock n’ roll set featuring songs we all know and love!

Wall of Denial 
6:30–8 PM 
In 2011 Wall of Denial was formed to capture audiences with the music of Stevie Ray Vaughan The band members have many years performing Stevie's music. Especially Gary Stratton, who has performed Stevie's music for over 20 years. Combine that with the other very talented members, and you have a great band that is solely focused on having the public relive and enjoy that great Stevie Ray Vaughan experience.

The Pettybreakers
  8–10 PM 
The PettyBreakers is the nation’s premier “Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers” tribute act. Based out of Southern California, this band accurately recreates the sights, sounds and concert experience of a Tom Petty concert. All the classics… American Girl…Break Down… Free Fallin’… Mary Jane’s Last Dance…Refugee… Runnin’ Down a Dream… and so many more... perfectly reproduced.

Saturday, June 16

Tom Thumb's Band
6-7:30 PM 
Tom Thumb's band revisits the music of Bob Dylan with a 6-piece electric band. Based out of Chicago this band features current and former members of Paradise Waits and Dark Star Orchestra.

Old Shoe featuring Low Down Brass Band Horns 7:45-10 PM 
Come hear a special evening of Paul Simon music at Naper Nights with one set covering the album "Graceland" in it's entirety! Old Shoe is a five-piece Americana Roots Rock band based out of Chicago, Illinois, made up of talented songwriters from across the country. In addition to releasing their own albums, the group frequents the Midwest festival circuits and has even produced 7 consecutive installments of their own festival, Shoe Fest.

Friday, July 20

The Fortunate Sons 6-7:30 PM
The Fortunate Sons are the world's greatest tribute to America's greatest band: Creedence Clearwater Revival. Using original vintage gear and instruments, accurate costumes, and spot-on musical ability, The Fortunate Sons instantly conjure up the full experience of the best CCR songs.

Turn The Page
7:45-10 PM
A tribute to Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band, Turn The Page faithfully recreates all the "Classic" Bob Seger Hits. You will feel as though you’ve been transported back to Detroit’s Cobo Hall as you relive "Old Time Rock and Roll", "Night Moves", "Against The Wind", "Turn the Page", the way they were meant to be experienced….Live, on the concert stage!

Local favorites play a variety of music from rock to country.

Simply Elton with The Brown Dirt Cowboys 6-7:30 PM
"Simply Elton" is the brainchild of Brian Harris, a classically trained pianist/keyboardist and jazz veteran (yet with the heart of a rock & roller!). The band honors the music of Sir Elton John with the perfect blend of energy, great vocals, and pianistic fireworks!

Natural Wonder 7:45-10 PM
Natural Wonder is a spectacular touring concert show designed to take the glorious music and live experience of legendary musician Stevie Wonder to all generations of fans. Led by #1 Billboard Artist/Producer Gabriel Bello, Natural Wonder is The Ultimate Stevie Wonder Experience!

Friday, August 17

6-7:30 PM
Soulshine - An Allman Brother Band Tribute, features veteran Chicago-area professional musicians who share a mutual love for the iconic southern rock legends. “Soulshine” keeps the torch going, playing everyone's favorite ABB songs, as well as performing some of the songs Duane played on before the Allman Brothers. If you liked listening to “Live at The Fillmore East”, Eat A Peach, and the Brothers' first 2 albums, you’re going to love seeing “Soulshine!”

Chicken Fried
8-10 PM
Authentic vocals, authentic music, and an authentic band! This is as close to the real deal as one can get as a Zac Brown fan. Elton Lammie, an award winning vocalist, is the lead singer for the chicken fried tribute show. Chicken Fried includes all the great songs and radio hits of ZBB in their show as well as some of the unexpected songs that Zac throws in their live concerts.

Planet Groove
6-7:30 PM
Playing hits from the 60's to today, Planet Groove's 7 piece line up (featuring a 3 piece horn section and 7 vocalists) plays high energy dance music, artists such as Chicago, Stevie Wonder, Sly and The Family Stone, Van Morrison, Bruno Mars, Motown, etc... !

Bluffet 8-10 PM
This show will have the conga-lines moving with an amazing EIGHT PERFORMERS ON STAGE! Complete with beach-type props and costuming, you will believe this IS the real deal!! The amazing look and vocals of Larry Pearson will have you convinced you have been transported to "Margaritaville"!



$15 Adult; $10 Youth (4-12)
Members & children under 4 are free!

Online ticket sales will end at noon the Thursday before each concert weekend.

Parking: The entrance to the concerts will be through the Pre-Emption House Visitor Center. The Visitor Center will close approximately one hour before the concert ends and all patrons must exit via the gate on Webster Street. Parking is available in the Municipal Parking Garage on the corner of Eagle and Aurora and in the Naper Settlement visitor's lot on Porter Avenue and Webster Street.

Not Permitted: Do not bring coolers, full or empty containers, open or closed bottles, outside food and drinks, pets or weapons on to the premises.

An ADA viewing area will be available at every Naper Nights concert series, to all applicable patrons. The viewing area is located in an section with optimal sightlines to the stage and an ample amount of space.
