GRAND TOUR OF THE MARTIN MITCHELL MANSION
Take a behind-the-scenes look at the results of the $2.8 million restoration of the Martin Mitchell Mansion. Hear about the decisions and processes that brought this treasure back to its full glory. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
1-3:15 p.m. Recommended for ages 8 and up. $10/person, $9/NHSS member.

BLACKSMITHING 101

In this unique opportunity for a three part class, you will learn the history of blacksmithing with an introduction to the tools and forge. In the first session, you will learn to start the forge and hammering techniques. Session two is a continuation of history, safety and begin to make an iron hook. In session three you will complete your iron hook project and learn about maintaining the blacksmith's tools and shop and close down the forge. Ages 18 and over. Class limited to 6 participants.
9-11 a.m. $150/person for the 3-session class. Registration is required.
