School's Out For Spring Break! - But We're In!

Horse play is the theme of the day! Meet Princess, a beautiful gray Arabian horse, and learn about equestrian care. Join in the fun at the Log House, Conestoga Wagon and Carriage House as you discover how horses helped settle Illinois, worked on the farm and provided transportation. You'll even take home your very own Webkinz® toy!

Naper's Settlement

Discover through music and play how the early settlers built Naperville. Participate in "finding your way" map challenges, visit with the blacksmith, take part in a visual history hunt, play the pack your wagon game, create your own log cabin with giant Lincoln Logs® and decorate your own log cabin.

Enjoy "Survivor Prairie: Part II" with an all new set of challenges from our popular Survivor program. Have you ever wondered what it would be like to be a contestant on a reality show? Your challenge will transport you back in time to the American frontier of the 1800s. Participants will use team and problem-solving skills to play like a pioneer.

From bumble bees to bison, the early settlers shared their new home with a wide variety of critters. Have fun learning about the birds, insects, reptiles and mammals that inhabit the prairie. A few of our critter friends will be making a personal appearance to visit with campers.

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to work as a blacksmith, set type to print a newspaper, be a teacher in a one-room schoolhouse or welcome stagecoach travelers at the post office? Now's your chance to step back in time and imagine yourself doing these jobs.


Each day features new and challenging explorations.

Bring a sack lunch and a drink. For boys and girls in grades 1-5

Encounter the Past - a visit to the naperville cemetery

Take a walk through the history of Naperville by visiting the cemetery. Encounter some Napervillians from the past as they recount their stories. All ages.

- have we got a great summer planned for you! Spend an exciting week in "Treasure Hunters Camp" using maps, compasses, puzzles, secret codes and high-tech GPS devices to seek out adventures. Check out "Adventures in Time Camp" where every day is a journey through time.

Program Cancellation Policy - Naper Settlement will not refund deposits if a program is canceled by the participant. If the program is canceled by Naper Settlement, full refunds will be given. Naper Settlement will not issue program fee refunds if the participant cancels less than 2 weeks before the starting date of the program.
