Howlin' at the Moon on October 22 & 23

Get ready for a howlin' good time at Naper Settlement's all-new Halloween event for adults, werewolves, and other 21+ creatures on October 22 and October 23, 2021 from 5:00-10:00 p.m. 

Howlin' at the Moon is for adults twenty-one years of age and older only. No one under the age of twenty-one is permitted. IDs will be checked at the entrance. 

Howl along with live music by some of the area’s best cover and regional rock bands. Feast your fangs into local cuisine from our Food Truck Graveyard. Quench your undying thirst with Dead Guy Ale and  Knotty Vines wine at our Boooze Bar. And let your curiosity take hold with special performances by an illusionist, fire dancers, liquid lights, and more. Costumes are encouraged!

Adult (21+): $20  | Please bring a lawn chair or blanket to enjoy the night's performances

Top 5 Things You Need to Know to have a Frightfully Good Time at Howlin' at the Moon

#1 - You Must be 21 Years of Age or Older to Enter -  Howlin' at the Moon is for adults twenty-one years of age and older only. No one under the age of twenty-one will be permitted to attend. IDs and bags will be checked at the entrance. 

#2 - Bring a Chair and/or Blanket to Enjoy the Concert - Grab your lawn chair and/or blanket and find a spot on our village green to experience a one-of-a-kind concert experience that will feature over-the-top musical performances, a liquid lights show, fire dancers, and more -- all viewable from your chair! We recommend arriving early to claim your spot near the main stage.

#3 - Dress for the Weather - Howlin’ at the Moon will take place almost completely outdoors, so please dress accordingly. Attendees are encouraged to attend in costumes and enter our costume contest for a variety of great prizes including gift cards and our BOOze Bar package. Please note: costumes with weapons will not be permitted at the event and should be left at home. 

#4 - Enter our Costume Contest Before 7:00 PM Show-off your Halloween costume by entering our costume contest in the Blacksmith Shop before 7:00 PM. Our costume contest sponsor, Dan Firks Real Estate, will be judging the costume contest between 7:00-7:30 PM and a winner will be announced at approximately 7:50pm on the main stage and on Naper Settlement's social media. 

#5 - Bring Cash for Tickets to Redeem at our BOOze BarPlease bring cash if you plan on visiting our BOOze bar. Attendees will be required to purchase beverage tickets near our Firehouse to redeem at our BOOZe bar located near the back of the Village Green (see map below). Our beverage tickets are $7 per drink and cash only. We will be offering a variety of beer and wine including Dead Guy Ale, Batsquatch IPA, Schlafly Pumpkin Ale, Stella Artois and Knotty Vines wine. An ATM will be available near the Firehouse.

Event Policies

Naperville Heritage Society Special Events have additional policies to the Naper Settlement's museum policy.

  • All patrons must prepare and complete a bag check.
  • Photographs may be taken and used in promotional materials.
  • No outside food or drinks. 
  • No pets are allowed. Service Animals are permitted.
  • Smoking and vaping are permitted in designated areas only.

Parking

Free parking is available in the Municipal Parking Garage on the corner of Eagle and Aurora and in the Naper Settlement visitor's lot on Porter Avenue and Webster Street.

Inclement Weather

All Naperville Heritage Society events take place rain or shine. However, in the case of unsafe weather - lightning, tornado, etc. - Naper Settlement will close the grounds and cancel the event for the safety of its patrons.

Refund Policy

All events, scheduled offerings, and prices are subject to change without notice. Special event rates may vary. All ticket sales are final. No refunds, exchanges, or rain checks will be given in the event of inclement weather. Dated tickets may not be exchanged.
