HERstory Nomination Linda Wilhelm

"Linda grew up on the southwest side of Chicago in a small bungalow style home.  Having many Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles along with countless cousins growing up within a few doors of their home, their neighborhood was a second “Warsaw”.  Linda’s parents were extremely hard working.  Her Dad a truck driver, her Mom a cook, Linda learned early on that “community” and hard work were everything.

Linda married (over 36 years ago) and had 1 daughter.  Linda found herself wanting to work in the community she lived in and volunteered for a variety of school and community needs.  Lunchroom supervisor, copy Mom, fundraising chair, Naperville Junior Gardening Club and most recently Naperville Housing Advisory Commission are just a few callings she has answered.

For the last 15 years, Linda has been the majority owner in Allegra Marketing Print Signs located in Romeoville.  Linda has always believed in giving back to the community that has helped her, the company has donated over $150,000 in products and services to a wide variety of nonprofits.  Her vision is to help worthy organizations who can help others exponentially more people than her alone.

With her husband Tom, daughter Ashley and canines Bella and Nana the family has resided in Naperville for over 30 years."
