Meet Loren Francis

HERstory Nomination Loren Francis

"Loren and Alwyn Francis were relocated to Chicago and then Naperville twenty-three years ago from the United Kingdom. Loren researched local school districts and District 203 had a stellar school systemLoren appreciates Naperville’s leadership and how residents are supportive and actively engaged to improve the City. She has been an active volunteer in the school district for twenty years. Loren has worked with Superintendent Dan Bridges on the first Future Focus community engagement initiative; member of the District 203 Diversity Council. Loren served on the Home & School boards at Mill Street School and Naperville North High School where her sons attended.  Loren is a founder and former chairperson of the Naperville North Success Parent Organization (S.U.C.C.E.S.S), which started in 2013 and has expanded to other schools in District 203. One of their initiative was the Black History Month showcase. She is an ambassador for Fermilab’s summer program since 2016. 

Loren is the founder of LF Educational Consulting, which received the 2019 Best of Naperville Award.  Her expertise and passion are guiding parents and students through high school planning for college and the college admission process.  

Her passion for education started with her parents, who started a Saturday school to teach their West Indian cultureShe learned early the value of giving back to the community.  Loren has generously given back to Naperville leading with a big heart through her volunteering, college preparation expertise and outstanding leadership skills. Her words of wisdom for the youth is 'good education will prepare You for tomorrow opportunities.' "
