"Attorney Liliana P Jones-Muñoz is a truly deserving woman of the HER Story Campaign.
Liliana is an immigrant from Colombia who has over 20 years of professional experience as a lawyer. For 10 years she was the director of the legal department of an important commercial conglomerate located in Colombia. However, in 2010 she moved to the US in search of a better life for her family. An amazing obstacle she overcame was transitioning her title from Colombia to the US and having to take the bar exam and learn English at the same time! She passed the bar exam on her second try, within one year.
In 2014, she founded HISPANIC AMERICAN LEGAL SERVICES, LTD with the objective of offering its services to the Hispanic community residing in the United States. She made the transition in her career to focus more on Immigration Law surrounding family and business ties. Liliana is a tenacious woman with a vision to serve those around her. Her leadership abilities have allowed her to excel in her profession and during her training she was one of the most outstanding students being awarded academic honors.
As an immigrant Liliana, has experienced from beginning to end the process of becoming a resident and citizen of this country. For this reason together with her experience as a lawyer she understands the needs of what it feels like to be an immigrant in the US. She empowers others to push for their goals and assists them in reaching their American Dreams."
