HERstory Nomination Jabeen Shaik

"I have known Jabeen for the past ten years. Jabeen has been an active community volunteer and leader. She has started several programs in Naperville. She is a selfless leader, who spends her time serving her community by taking the lead in organizing events and projects. These include being a leader in the Islamic Center of Naperville’s Girl Scout Troop, being a volunteer lead for the ICN Weekend School, Parent Teacher Organization lead and liaison, as well as leading the sponsorship outreach for the Fundraising Dinner for ICN. Jabeen is also a leader in the Girls Club which organizes various social, and service projects for the youth girls at ICN. Jabeen’s primary role at ICN for the last three years has been leading the Women’s Committee which organizes monthly events including social events, educational events. It also organizes service projects such as the Mask Drive which made and donated masks to various frontline organizations. Jabeen also serves as a liaison for the Parent Diversity Advisory Council for IPSD 204."
